Dr. Metcalfe is now providing Category IV Personal Protection Officer evaluations for individuals requiring the PSP-13 Form.
Dr. Ngo was a featured panelist at the 8th Annual Texas Higher Education Symposium. This panel was comprised of scholars and practitioners discussing campus climate and marginalization issues prevalent on college campuses today. Topics included, racial tension and conflict, Islamophobia, sexual assault, undocumented students and fear of deportation, LGBTQ students, etc.
Dr. Ngo and colleagues presented at the 2017 NASPA Mental Health Strategies Conference. Topic was “Suicide Prevention and Mental Health: It’s Not Just for Counseling Centers Anymore”. Dr. Ngo was part of a Task Force led by UT Austin that created a suicide prevention video which could be used by all general academic teaching institutions.
Dr. Ngo is interviewed on the CW39 Newsfix story about the former Santa Fe High School teacher that was accused of having sexual relationships with 2 students.

Dr. Ngo had the rare opportunity to appear in front of the Texas House of Representatives Mental Health Select Committee on September 22, 2016. She testified about the challenges facing university counseling centers, mental health trends, and the resources that are desperately needed. Dr. Ngo’s testimony is about 5 hours and 40 minutes into the hearing.

Congratulations to Dr. Ngo who was voted as President-Elect of the Texas University and College Counseling Directors Association (TUCCDA). Her term commences April 2017.
